I'm looking to lose a bit of weight this year, and I was wondering if anyone has any workout routines that they do at home.

If you're not sure what you like to do.....start with YouTube. Tons of free stuff. Test drive something new each day and get an idea what you like to do. Finding exercise you enjoy will help you continue to exercise when you get to maintenance. Exercise "for losing weight" is short sighted. Eat less to lose weight and exercise to stay fit.

I started off my weight loss journey by modifying how much I ate and walking as often as I could. Walking isn’t exactly a calorie torcher, but it does help you reach your calorie goals by increasing the amount you burn daily. I also found it very beneficial to my cardiovascular health, lower body and back comfort and strength, and mental well-being.

If your level of fitness is already beyond that, my next step was adding in bodyweight resistance training. I used the Hasfit videos on Youtube because I liked how many options they had for beginners and eventually more advanced individuals. I also liked that they weren’t super hyper and gimmicky videos. You may prefer the same, or prefer showier trainers.

After that I added in running, started buying dumbbells and downloaded the Just 6 Weeks app which has helped me progress to unassisted pushups and chinups (going to start working on pullups soon).

My favorite advice I’ve gotten is that if you don’t want to do it, you probably won't keep doing it. Try different things until you like something and then stick with that untill you need more to progress (if you even WANT to progress) or find something you like more.
