Calories burned vs calories consumed

So, I’ve been exercising for a little under a month. I’ve done lots of research, but the one thing I can’t find is how many calories you need to consume compared to how many you burn. Between exercising and handling all obligations (I am very active) I burn between 800-1400 calories a day. When I eat, I consume 1200-1600 calories. Is this safe? Should I be eating more? I don’t know how this all works.

Assuming you are measuring both your calories burned and calories eaten correctly you are undereating to the point that it will impact negatively on your health.
The minimum a female should be eating is 1200 plus extra calories burned with exercise. This 1200 is also assuming you are vertically challenged. Most females should be eating more than this.

So much research out there, so many opinions Finally I have decided to trust MFP and its calculations. However I am still unsure if I record ALL food / drinks eaten properly and get the the correct amount of calories eaten in a day. Same with calories burned through exercise - how "fast" is fast with 140 kg on my back? The few gym machines I can use already seem to crossly overestimate calories burned. So I stick to MFP and all its supportive members - weight is coming off slowly: just over 32 kg (70 pounds) in 13 months.

OP, I'm not sure I understand your numbers. If you are talking about total calories burned all day (not just from exercise) you are never burning as little as 800 calories. But if you are talking about exercise calories, it is highly unlikely you are burning an extra 1400.
