Wedding in 2.5 weeks - back and arms toning help!

Hey guys! I am a MFP novice, but I am getting married in 2.5 weeks and would like to get toned for the dress, as it is open back. Everything fits so I am not looking for a crash diet for the next 2 weeks, but more-so training tips and motivation to stay of track with calories during the many pre-wedding drinks, dinners and parties.

Are recommendation for back toning exercises? Do I have to cut down on body fat to actually get the muscles to be more defined?

All help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your comment! What does recomp mean?

    I currently swim laps a couple times a week and go for hikes. But I did start back/ arms weights last week and I cam already see a difference in my shoulder and upper arms. I was just looking for tips to accelerate the process. More reps? heavier weights?
