Extreme bloating After Eating Anything. What Am I Doing Wrong?

I'm about 10-15 lbs overweight. I recently got myfitnesspal and have been counting my macros, exercising daily and practicing portion control. I'm losing a little weight, but the weight is only in my stomach area and core. More than anything my problem is EXTREME bloating. I can eat 2 scrambled eggs for breakfast and my stomach gets bloated. I just had lunch with a friend and got a small bowl of healthy soup and a half order of a seriously tiny chicken avocado sandwich, didn't even finish it and I look like I'm 9 months pregnant right after. It's painful and I just don't get why this happens. What am I doing wrong and why is this happening? My stomach used to be flat no matter what I ate. I don't think it's normal to get this bloated. Especially when you're barely eating anything. I have to wear a baggy shirt every day because of it. Is it just because I'm overweight in my core area?

It's not normal, I'd ask your doctor.10

I agree with everyone else. I would talk with your doctor.2

Definitely talk to your doctor. I had the same issue four years ago and suffered with it for 4 months before I figured out I was extremely allergic to gluten. You may have some sort of food allergy -- definitely go get it checked out!1

Girl i was diagnosed with IBS and the symptoms sound very similar. There's a WIDE range of food i am forbidden from eating (mostly because i refuse to take medication) or else i blow up to 40 wks size. I will literally go up almost two pant sizes if i eat Garlic, onions, dairy, and a plethora of other foods...get it checked. It's a hard diet to follow, but at least I'm typically one size now 😝2

I also had the same for months and it turned out to be gall stones!2

This.
It could be more fiber (which would go away), it could be gall bladder stuff (which can be caused by low cals), it could be some kind of unrelated IBS onset thing, it could be many, many other things not related to what you are eating or dieting. I'd check it out.
If you've added foods, however, that might be related -- I'd try to think through how your diet is different, if at all.1 -
One of my friends has a sodium allergy and gets very bloated (like several pounds) if he eats foods that contain sodium. The hardest part is figuring out which medical specialist to consult to figure it out. Perhaps start with your general practitioner for advice (i.e. ask should I see a gastroenterologist, an allergist, whom?).3

Thank you all for your input! I appreciate it so much. I'll be making an appointment with a doctor in a the next couple of weeks to get checked out. I didn't think it was normal.1

That's the same thing that happens to me! I can eat a salad and be okay. But if I eat even two scrambled eggs or a half a sandwich or something all the sudden my stomach is HUGE. It hurts and it's so uncomfortable. I'm normally a size 7 pants, but because of the bloating after I eat I've had to start wearing a size 10. I don't ever remember struggling with this before in my twenties.0
