How can I eat back my calories from strength training?

I find it sort of easy to estimate calories burned from cardio, but I find it less easy with HIIT workouts and almost impossible when I just do weights.
My understanding is that you don't burn as much doing a weights session compared with cardio, but you continue to burn once you have finished training due to muscle gains etc.
I'm looking for general advice or an easy type formula to follow.

More specifically, in case it helps to know, I will try to do a minimum of 6 workouts per week - generally 2 cardio (RPM cycle), 2 full body HIIT, 1 upper body strength workout and 1 lower body strength workout.

I am Fem/34yo/176cm(5'9)/78kg(172 lbs). Try to eat about 1500 calories per day but don't know how much to factor in for training.

Thanks!

In the cardio section of MFP log under strength training.

I have found the calories accurate, and really needed them even though it isn’t a lot.

    Cheers, h.

Thanks, I have used this but it doesn't change my calorie goal for the day like it does when I log cardio. I don't have Premium MFP so could this be why?

    No premium isn’t the cause.

Weight lifting calorie burn is in the cardio section, not strength.

Scroll past all the running, calisthenics, cycling etc and you will find ‘strength training’.

Or, just enter ‘strength training’ in the cardio search.

    Cheers, h.

Same, I find it pretty accurate.
