Indigestion / bloated all the time

Hi, first time posting so apologies if I’m doing this wrong.
I’ve been using the app since middle of jan and lost 2 stone, mainly from calories counting and increased a bit of exercise.
Last few weeks I’ve been getting really bad indigestion and just feeling full all the time. the last of which started a week ago and hasn’t gone.
I’ve tried indigestion tablets but they haven’t helped. I don’t drink fizzy drinks or caffeine and I’ve booked an app with my Gp but wondered if anyone had experienced the same or can offer any help?
Thanks

When people say "boated", it can be a polite euphemism for a lot of different things: Excess stomach gas (burping), excess intestinal gas (flatulence), excess water weight, constipation, among others.
If:
* Excess stomach gas: Take an over the counter gas remedy like Gas-X, not a general digestive aid.
* Excess intestinal gas: If going on for less than a couple of weeks, could be microbiome adaptation to a new way of eating. If longer, consider eating probiotic foods to see if that helps (live-culture yogurt or kefir, kombucha, miso, raw sauerkrauet or kimchi, etc.), or try something like Beano.
* Excess water weight: As long as you're not truly ballooning up (legs, arms, etc. in addition to midsection), drink adequate (not excessive) water and hang in there. If nothing changes in a couple of weeks, see your doctor.
* Constipation: Could be not enough fiber, water, or fats; or a micronutrient deficiency (like magnesium). On MFP, where people are restricting calories, over-restricting fats is pretty common. If you're getting less than 0.35-0.45g of fat per pound of healthy goal weight daily, eat more fats and see if that helps. If you're not getting 25-35g of fiber daily, eat more fiber, and see if that helps.
Other possibilities:
* if you've started eating a new food frequently or lots more of one you've always eaten, consider food sensitivity as a possibility.
* If you have any urinary or vaginal symptoms, consider the possibility of an asymptomatic infection.
* If there's literally no reason, see your doctor: Can be a sign of certain worrisome health problems.
Your GP visit sounds like a good plan. Hope it resolves soon!9 -
Thank you that’s very helpful, it’s definitely the first one: gas in the stomach.
I’ve tried over the counter but not helped, better wait for that appointment.0 -
it must be something you're eating in your new diet... I had stomach problems two mornings in a row and it was the Ezekiel toast I just started eating. I though it would be healthy.. no more for me.0

Take PROBIOTIC before meals that might give you the bloating filling. I have this problem and I relieve it with probiotics.0
