Deleting an item for diary

Just put in a item to eat and I realise it has far too many carbs!! So I decided not to eat it however not sure how to delete it from my diary!

  App.. just press and hold the item.. delete or move will pop up.
  
  Web.. minus sign on the right side of the item.
