Hi!! πŸ‘‹ I'm kayla.

I have a 1 month old baby girl and am almost cleared to start working out again. I was 135 pre pregnancy and 200 lbs day of delivery. I am now down to 172 and goal is 140! πŸ™Œ

Looking for any other postpartum mommies looking for accountability. We got this πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’• Any specifics that have worked for any other first time moms looking to loose pregnancy weight welcome!

Hi! I posted this on another post-baby moms thread - we have similar goals so let’s do this!

    β€”-
I had my daughter on 5/3, and weighed in at 183. Down to 166 but want to get back to pre-pregnancy weight of 134-139 range. (Was 155 when I got pregnant - extra 15 lbs was left from my now 4 year old!)
I’m aiming for 10k steps a day and doing light arm weights, with calorie tracking / healthy choices to monitor / maintain breastfeeding. Once cleared to workout I will add in yoga or piyo to start.

Hi! There are a lot of moms on here, either postpartum, with small kids, with grown kids....

Anyway, I started losing weight and getting healthy when my youngest was 6 months (the gym required him to be 6 months for childcare). I didn't start counting calories or restricting food until he was 8 months. He's now 21 months.

Anyway, are you breastfeeding? That will make a difference in your calorie burn. I'm still nursing my 21-month-old, which gives me a boost in calorie burning (I eat more than most people my size and activity level). But if you aren't, you can restrict calories more than someone who is (although, I wouldn't recommend it too much when you have a little one to care for).

I went from 156lbs to ~115lbs, which for my height (5'0"), I was obese, now I'm a healthy weight.
