Feeling discouraged

I started the 30 day shred because I used to love it and it made me feel amazing I’m on day 5 and I dread doing it which makes me sad I’m also getting a bit bored of it

I loved her beginner shred which I did for 31 days before starting this

I do Jillian DVD’s for my mental health and I feel sad that I don’t feel good after my workouts

I’m walking and trying to manage my diet even though it’s not perfect

Did anyone do the 30 day shred give up and then do a different DVD and go back to the shred later

I just feel like I’m failing and I seem to have the mentality if I miss a day or do a different Jillian workout I’m failing but is it ok for me to mix things up. I have ocd as well and I don’t think that helps I find it hard to try a different routine

What are your goals? Are you primarily trying to lose weight?

For weight loss, eating in a calorie deficit is far more important than what specific workout you do. And regardless of your goals, the best exercise is the one you will do regularly. So if your not able to get yourself to do this one right now, find something else

Definitely sounds like your ocd kicking in, from someone who can relate. You are too fixated on “the right” workout. What do you mean by not feeling good after? Depressed? Fatigued? Jillian is one of many great options! I used to do all my p90x videos out of order because I don’t like being told what to do 😬😬😂😂

I did 30 day shred a couple of years ago. every time I did it I felt like I was going to die afterwards, though my cardiovascular fitness definitely did improve. I was not super great with my food though so I didn't see any change in the mirror.

Now I do strong curves 3 days a week, tightened up my logging, have been getting stronger much faster, can see a difference in the mirror and I don't feel like I'm going to die afterwards LOL.

That is just my two cents, I believe everyone should just find what works for them, whatever that may be :-).

After sleeping on it I do feel better my diet isn’t perfect I hate logging food because I feel pressure on me I’m just trying to eat sensibly. I am trying to lose overall twenty/fifteen kilos but currently making small goals so to lose three at first.

My mentality I feel makes things the hardest. After working out I just feel like when am I going to love this again but I am very hard on myself

Thank you for your kind replies 🥰
