Sadly, skin doesn't respond to exercise much.
You can strength train to slowly add muscle to fill out those areas.
Otherwise, the things that make our other organs function best also contribute to skin health and elasticity: Sound nutrition, regular exercise (strength and cardiovascular), adequate hydration.
Also, true loose skin** can keep shrinking long after we reach goal weight. Mine kept shrinking well into year 2 of maintenance, at least.
** True loose skin is thin wrinkles, like wrinkles in a medium-weight fabric. Wrinkles or rolls that are 1/2"+ still have some subcutaneous fat conspiring with gravity to keep skin stretched.3 -
Building muscle mass through weight training exercises can help in decreasing the appearance of loose skin. You can also take actions to prevent developing loose skin, such as avoiding:
Smoking,
Alcohol, using skin products with harsh chemicals
