Do whatever you like. I tried a lot of different workouts and realized I really enjoy step boxing and kickboxing. There are several instructors that I like. Kelly Coffey Meyer, Amy Bento, Chalene Johnson, Kendall Hogan, etc. Whatever you enjoy and will do consistently is what will be best for you.

Any type of workout burns calories, and that can assist in helping you maintain a calorie deficit. Find something you like and enjoy. The best workout is the one that you actually do.

You don't need to workout at all if you don't want to and you can still lose weight.

I hike, ski, and ride a bike, because I enjoy them. Weight loss is all about calories, exercise helps because it burns calories. You burn more calories by exercising for more time. And the way to do that, is to find something you enjoy.

And you should eat the calories you burn from exercise, for health reasons. The point is you exercise because you enjoy it, because it makes you healthier, and as a bonus it allows you to eat more, which helps many people sustain this over the long term.

I also lift weights 3x per week. This doesn't burn many calories, and to be honest I don't enjoy it. But I enjoy what it does for me.

Anything that burns calories. I personally really enjoy walking, spin class, weight lifting, my elliptical or even a YouTube video.
My goal though is to really just be more active, aka not be lazy and only get 5000 steps..
