Tracking exercise Calories - MFP and iWatch

Question - what do you input for your exercise calories?

I workout and use my Apple iWatch - there are days when I track 400-500 MOVE calories.
I have been adding my “walk” and “bike” calories. Do I need to add in a differential calorie at the end of the day?? And I walk my dog daily, sometimes as much as 7-8 times during the day.

Surely I have burned more than 100 calories🙄 per day.
My iWatch tracker shows 400-500 at the days end.

Do I need to add a “walk” exercise at the end of the day to make up for those extra MOVE calories?

So I just looked and my Active calories is 473 today. But my TOTAL is 17?? So do I need to add these to MFP for the day?

Apple Watch and MFP don’t play nice with each other. What I do is if I’m going for an intentional walk or walking my dog I make sure to turn on my “Workout-Outdoor Walk” on my watch. If you have your health app synced with MFP you will get credit. If I don’t do an intentional workout I don’t input anything for my activity calories. I just use that as a buffer for any logging mistakes I might have made. I’ve lost 56 lbs in a little over a year so it works for me. If you want credit for every step you take a Fitbit would be a better choice.

@longkathleenann9291 -I'm trying to figure this out as well. What do you have your activity level on map set at?

I have it set to sedentary, that’s what it was when I started MFP. I could probably move it to lightly active now, but I’m not going to. I just make sure to eat my exercise calories back. I have MFP set to lose at 0.5 lbs/week but I’m actually losing on average 0.75-1 lbs/week.
