Years ago I used fitness pal for my bodybuilding goals, having been a personal trainer and into that scene at the time. I’m older and somewhat wiser now, and looking to just maintain overall wellness. My days with lifting weights are over, but I still care about how I look. I’ve got s horrible sweet tooth and having grown up in a robust European family, have a love of good bread too. Neither of which do me any good! Now it’s about trying to keep the weight off my middle and staying strong and flexible. Years of yoyo diets to bulk and cut have taken their toll on my metabolism and the weight doesn’t shed as easily anymore. Right now I am doing the Atkins diet.. which is a keto diet, but what I like about it is the transition back to health eating options that I am hoping will be sustainable in the long run. Cheers!

    Hello!
I’m not near Vancouver but I am a fellow Canuck😊
I can relate to the years of yo-yo dieting and having a love for sweets! Killer. But we can do this. I’m going to try and add you as a friend but I’ve been having some challenges in that department....lol. If my invite doesn’t go through feel free to add me!

Hi, I am noora from egypt and completely understand you at the sweets part. I am too crazy about sweets and its making weight loss plans very challenging for years. I have 40 kg to go and with the struggle i have with sweets, its a real challenge 😅.

OP, why stop lifting weights? There are many benefits to strength training, and the residual calorie burn effect is greater than cardio
