Dec. 2009 485 lbs. Diabetes Type II. high BP. on lots of meds to help control it all.
Aug. 2011 340 lbs. no more diabetes or high BP. off all meds related to it. just take fish oil and multivitamin now.
I unfortunately don't track my calories on MFP anymore. It has to do with me rooting my cel phone (aka screwing around with it XD) and the app not liking that. I use a different website/app to track my calories now. As others said it can be done! Consistency, dedication and above all patience! My goal for the end of this year is to be out of the 300's and into the upper 200's. Ultimately I want to be 200-220 when I am all done.0 -
I started at 389 and have been using MFP for about a month. I have lost 23 pounds so far. I think this is one is the easier ways to lose weight, I don't really feel like I am dieting. I have been sticking to around 1400 calories a day and things have been going well. I have been staying away from processed foods and it is kind of amazing how much you can eat and still be at about 1400 calories. For me the key has been staying away from anything processed, if it isn't fresh made then I don't eat it. I have also been eating a large amount of fresh fruit because it is a great snack and low in calories.0
