So, I know of a few of you out there use this, what do you think? Has it been a lifesaver, is it overrated, etc?

I'm also curious as to how it works. Do you wear it all day? Do you plug in your food or does it just know (that sounds crazy...) and for exercise do you just tell it what you're doing? And then at the end of the day (or periodically throughout) how do you check where you're at? Oh and the subscription you buy with it, is that required??

I'm curious if it's worth the $250.

I love mine, but I don't use it the way you could. I don't personally wear it all day like others I know. I only wear it during my workouts to track individual workout calorie burn. I like it because it tells you how much your body is burning per minute and your total calorie burn for your "trip" or workout. But if you wanted, you could track your whole calorie expenditure for the whole day. you just figure out what you want your calorie deficit for the day to be, and then make sure you actually get there. It also tells you what your sleep efficiency is, etc. It tracks your personal bests as well. So, technically, I guess a regular HRM would have been better for me since I don't utilize all the options. But I still love it :)

I have one and it really helps to track cals, only drawback is their website does not have the fab database of foods like this has, I did suggest they should try to improve this. Good though and tracks level of exercise, I thought I was killing myself but I know realise the level I was exerising at was below my full potential :)

Hmm..interesting. And I was looking at the actual website, that's where I found the cost. Thanks for the head's up on Best Buy, I'll look there too. If their website isn't as updated as this one, could I still track here and just do overall input into the body media? Seems like a lot of work though lol

Hi, I got mine three days ago and really love it so far. I have not been using the food database on the Bodymedia website because I have a lot of recipes and such saved here. There is a spot on the bodymedia website to just put in the number of calories you ate that day. So I take the calories from here and plug them in there. Its easy. I read someone does it the other way around and plugs the number of calories burned from the BMF per day into MFP as "exercise". Then can quickly see the deficit.

    Good luck!
