Hey all, new to the community on here and fitness in general! I used to be a casual user of the gym but then due to work commitments I found myself eating badly. So I have started for about 7 weeks now, going to the gym 3x a week and have noticed my stamina with cardio increasing slowly and starting to lift weights. I’m looking for advice in terms of trying to figure out whether to lose weight first (goal is lose 1 more St) or to weight train or both?! Could do with some motivation and tips from anyone who started out the same kind of way! Thanks!

I would suggest both! Weight training builds muscle that burns more calories even when at rest. If you want to chat I'd love to talk to you more!0

For a while I would do both cardio and weights to get back into the routine of going to the gym and to get comfortable with the movements again, and then depending on your weight, % fat, and goals, decide if you want to bulk or cut0
