Pre-dinner snacking

I had fish and quinoa for lunch today at 12:30. It only keeps me full for about 3 hours. We ended up swimming after work and not getting dinner made until 7pm! I was so hungry and was eating all the snacks I could find. Now I'm stuffed. Lesson learned: dinner should have been sooner or i should of had some snacks with protein planned for late afternoon.

I'd need a snack going that long too! I don't know what it is about swimming but I'm always hungry afterwards. It's worse after swimming for me than any other type of cardio or weight lifting for some reason!1

whenever I exercise or do physical activity.. I add food to my meal before the activity. If you would have bulked up your lunch..or ate a healthy protein and carb snack before swimming you may not have been famished.1

Definitely. I thought dinner would be sooner. Our family swim was last minute and put getting dinner cooked on the back burner.1
