Okay so this article de-bunked alot of things I thought were true, and shed some light on some new things. Very good article!!!!

See the first one is interesting - calories to digest will NEVER exceed the calories of food you eat (celery included). Is celery really food? Just askin cause I'm not a fan But seriously - there are things we eat as humans, for flavor or effect that man have zero nutritional value... I don't believe that the above "debunked" statement can ALWAYS be true!
What about foods like whole flax seeds that our bodies can't break down? What about pure fiber?0 -
Not sure about #1. The reason why celery was special was because it is pretty much nothing but cellulose and water. Cold water has to be warmed to body temperature which burns calories. Cellulose can't be digest by the human body, so despite its efforts (which do burn calories) it can't be digested. So you really won't get any nutritional benefit out of it - including calories. Maybe I'm wrong?0

I have a secret, I never eat breakfast and I haven't had a plateau and I've been losing weight steadily for a year.
I lift weights too :P
I'm actually surprised that so many people still believe some of those things.0 -

I'm actually surprised that so many people still believe some of those things.
Breakfast has been shown to increase the human metabolism throughout the day. Its also been shown that not eating breakfast increases insulin sensitivity and fat storage.
While you may be losing weight (and that is awesome!) it wouldn't hurt you to eat breakfast - it may actually accelerate things for you,

Good read with at least some scientific evidence to back the claims. Would like to see the counter points.0

Thanks for the concern but I HATE breakfast or eating within a couple hours of getting up.
As you can see from my ticker I'm doing just fine. I've averaged 1.3lbs a week loss for over a year (again with no plateaus). I lift weights 3-4 days a week and do cardio 6 days a week including the fact that I just "completed" the C25K program. I'm more fit now than I have even been, even when I was thin before I had my son0 -
