Have a "Why"

Motivation and willpower are unfortunately finite. It's impossible to always be in a perfect frame of mind. So, what do we do?
We must have a solid list of reasons WHY we are doing this, and have a clear goal to work towards. These things must be reviewed DAILY so they become engrained. Only then will we be able to do the hard work even when we become unmotivated and are tempted to lose our way.
