I have done MFP on and off for awhile I need to lose weight and get healthy but can’t seem to get motivation and stay with it. It’s hard to do by yourself. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

one big issue i notice is people think going on a diet means eating diet food, cutting out any food they enjoy and sometimes eating much less than needed and doing exercise they hate. or they select a rate of loss much too aggressive (thus always hungry).
start with just logging what you currently eat, enter you stats in MFP and slowly move to lowering your calories to the recommended amount over time. select reasonable rate of loss.
don't rely on "motiviation" rely on planning. have foods that fit your goals ready to go in the house. surround yourself with foods that work for your goals and as best you can, limit access to those that derail you.

Agree with everything you said. When I started for the first couple weeks I just made the goal of getting in the habit of tracking everything to get an idea of daily intake. After that, maybe move to 0.5 loss a week, if that's comfortable and you arent super hungry, then move to 1 etc.
Meal planning is your best friend, and having a support network. Go into the grocery store with a list made from well planned meals, and nothing not on the list goes in the basket..also don't go in the store while hungry1
