Not syncing with Fitbit day 8

Have been using MyFitnessPal for over 5 years. 3 years ago I added a Fitbit. I have had minor issues with syncing over that time. However, I have never had my Fitbit and my fitness pal not sync for days at a time. Will this be fixed soon? Does anyone know anyting?

    See if this works, if you haven't already tried it. (Also use the browser and not the app)
    1. Go to your Apps page and search at the middle right of the page for the apps you currently have linked.
    2. Select Fitbit tracker
    3. Click on Disconnect
    4. Log out of Fitbit and MFP.
    5. Log back in
    6. Log into MyFitnessPal and click Apps.
    7. In the App Gallery, find Fitbit and click Connect.
    8. Click Allow to give MyFitnessPal access to your Fitbit data.
    9. Follow the instructions provided.

    Thank you for your helpful replies, I have tried the logging out route, but will try again.
