Hi guys,

My trainer has set me a diet with the following targets

50% carbs
30% protein
20% fat

Just wondered what food you would suggest in the way of dinners or snacks. Any advice would be great! I have the basics like wholemeal pasta, rice, chicken, salmon, rice cakes and so on. But only really have two examples to work from so looking for more ideas

Thanks in advance

Just to clarify, is your goal to gain weight? I’m guessing it is since you described your diet as high calorie.

I just want to point out that trainers are not registered dieticians and really have no qualifications for giving nutritonal advice more than the average person. Unless you have a reason from a medical doctor, I don't think you need to go that low in fat, especially if your goal is to get more calories in.
30% protein is also likely excessive if you have a high calorie goal.
You could easily switch it up to 45carb-30fat-25prote8n and get more of your calories from fat

I too am curious what the purpose of that macro split is, but what part of it are you struggling with? And how many calories are you aiming for? If you need more lean proteins, I'm thinking shrimp, canned tuna, protein powder, beans and lentils, tofu, low fat dairy.
