This lookes like a very friendly and helpfull site, I looked for a calorie couner and found it. The doctor told me that unless I loose weight I wil have to take meds for high blood preasure, and at 44 I am not doing that. BIG PROBLEM: 1- no will power and 2- eating when not hungry, just to have something in my mouth. I hope to find help and support here. Exercise? I never did any, I am starting to walk up and down the steps in the house a little faster. (I cleaned the freezer today, does that count ?)

Hey your right about 1 thing.. this is an excellent group!
You will defiantly get motivated and feel great with these ppl. Welcome and have fun too!

If you do it consistantly for at least 20 min (no breaks, or long pauses), it counts.
If you really need somewhere to start, you could start here:
I dare you to speed walk for 25 minutes tomorrow. Then increase that time by two minutes evey day for the next 15 days. On day 16 try jogging.
