Hello, I have been training for 8 years all wieght lifting over that time my goals have constantly changed I have always battled with my wieght since being a teenager by this I mean Weight gain, I am now looking to cut I am currently around 14.7 stone 33 years old 6ft 2, I have been dropping my calories which are now down to 1700 200g protein 110g carb and 30g fats I Train 5 days a week purely muscle, my only concern now is that I start to drop my calories even more to try and lose the wieght which will then cause me to lose muscle as well, I am really stuck and want some advice on what to do, do I just introduce cardio
Thanks in advance

1700 seems a bit low, 500 calorie deficit is a max I think. As long as you get at least 0.8g per lb bodyweight your muscle will be fine. You just need to keep a consistent calorie deficit. Add cardio if it helps3

Thanks for the advice0

30g of fat is also considered too low for your stats, which could lead to issues (hormonal imbalance, mental clarity, etc), so you should focus on increasing this, regardless of whether you add calories.6

I was having cheese and almonds not together but I removed them from my diet to cut more calories0

You have a lot of round numbers in your food diary. Do you use a food scale or just sort of eyeball the amounts?
Congrats on your upcoming wedding8 -
May I suggest reducing your strength training to 3 days a week and a daily walk of 60 minutes? Believe it will give you better results that you seek. Of course, the three days of training need to be of the "tough as nails" variety. Rest and recovery are your friends in your journey.1

I have a long way to go before some of these questions but there's an article that seems like it could help you out a bit.
