I have OVERWHELMING guilt of missing this week of workouts. How do I combat this?

Full disclosure: I am PMS’ing so I’m moody and all my emotions are multiplied 10 fold. So please don’t hate me 😭

Ok so I have been trying to work towards my dream bod. I’ve been trying to work out 3-4x a week. I realized I wouldn’t motivate myself to go and so 3 weeks ago I started to pay for a personal trainer. On top of that I go to a Jiu Jitsu class 2x a week minimum. It’s like an hour of straight cardio. Now, this is the first week that i haven’t had a workout because my trainer is out of town and Ive has plans almost every day aside from work. I work 12 hour shifts 7am- 7pm 3 days a week as an ER nurse and by the time I’m off work, I just wanna rest my dang feet and disconnect from society so I usually plan my workouts on the days I don’t work. I also eat relatively healthy, with a few guilt snacks here and there such as one jolly rancher, a snack size bag of cheez its, some wheat thins, etc. It’s always like a very small snack to get rid of some cravings. I haven’t seen much progress but I assume it’s because it’s only been 3 weeks. But not working out EVERYDAY is making me feel bad. Like I feel so guilty for not pushing myself to work out after work. Or even this week, I feel like I’m going to lose muscle because I haven’t worked out and can’t work out since I have so much planned this week. How do I combat this feeling? Am I really going to regress?

TLDR; Ive been working out 3x a week for 3 weeks and this week I can’t and haven’t had a chance and I feel guilty that I haven’t worked out. I feel like I’m stagnant. Like im going to regress. Like i should be pushing myself to work after I go to work or something. Is this normal? Is there any way to combat this feeling?

Best way to combat it.... start now! Don't look at what you haven't done this LAST week....focus on what you are going to do THIS week and move forward.

Dang, you're doing great! What on earth do you feel guilty for? Cut yourself some slack. <3

Thanks guys. That made me breath an audible sigh of relief. I know my progress is very little but I’m just so afraid of being stagnant. It makes me feel bad.

You have a really stressful, high demanding job. It’s gonna be hard to find time for yourself no matter what, but don’t beat yourself up over things you can’t control. Take little moments to remind yourself of what you have accomplished, even if it seems trivial, because you are a hero and deserve to be proud of yourself. This is one of my favorite quotes

I have walked 3 miles in the park every night for 9 days. I feel really bad I haven’t been to the gym. It’s crazy. My 3 miles is a workout especially since a half mile involves a spiral climb to a pedestrian bridge
