Hello everyone,

Tips for taking and organizing vitamins and supplements.
Feeling very frustrated that I keep forgetting them at home and not maintaining a regular schedule. I tried to use pillbox but it was not a good one and inconvenient to use.
Do you have any tips?

I have a medical requirement for Vitamin D, Calcium, and a couple of other supplements. What I do is use a weekly pillbox (I like this one from Amazon - $6.78). I take them when my wake-up alarm goes off in the morning. If I forget, I have a second alarm on my phone that goes off just before I have to leave for work.

The reason I like that one is that each separate day compartment is very large and opens with a button push.

Well, my main tip would be to eat a sufficiently wide and varied diet that it gives you all the vitamins and minerals you need.

Is there a medical reason that you need to take vitamins and supplements at particular times when you're out and about, and can't just pop the occasional one when you get home?

Thank you for your kind reply. I do take them at particular times for a medical reason.

Thank you for your help. I did use one similar to this, but I look for one that I can see which pills were taken, and protects form liquid spills. In addition, I looking for a small case with a cutter inside, so I can carry me daily amount in me bag.

If you take so many supplements that you need to organize them (and they are not prescribed by a doctor), you need to seriously rethink things. I'd start by finding better sites for your information. Take a multi if you like and maybe add fish oil (the jury is still out on that) and forget the rest.

Thank you for your kind reply. I do take them for a medical reason.

Yes, the average American does not need supplements -- they can get all the vitamins and minerals they need from their diets. However, some of us do have a doctor-prescribed need. Those who do have such a need should ensure they get their vitamins from a good brand, because the FDA does not regulate supplements in the US. I do advocate for reminder alarms and a good pill box.

    THANK YOU
