Good engery food before workout

I normally workout after work, but I somethings feel like i'm out of energy when I get to the gym. Is there anything that anyone would recommand for a snack that would help boost my energy level?

    i drink an energy drink lol :P but that is probably not good for you... I also like fruit snacks or a granola bar :D !

    banana with peanutbutter or honey.
    granola bar
    plum
    an egg (before u go)
    oatmeal (probably not for summer but winter depending on where u live. I have a hard time eating oatmeal when it is hot out)
    nuts- almonds

    I usually eat a granola bar for some tail mix. It just enough to take the edge off.

    Nuts, cheese, yogurt, dried fruit, meat are all good choices. I have to eat before my workouts or I run out of gas :)

    You want carbs before a workout, protein after. I like a granola bar, crackers, or fruit - I have it right before I leave work and by the time I get to the gym or yoga class (~45 minutes) I'm good to go.

    Thats a good idea, I'm going to have a cup of fresh blueberries and see how that works for me.
