Modifying database foods

Is it possible to modify an item I find in the database?

For instance, I customized a Panera egg sandwich to remove cheese and salt and added roasted turkey, tomato, and Aaliyah.

I can only find the standard egg on ciabata, though.

Thanks.

You can create a new food for yourself. If you're on a computer, go to food, create a food, and enter the information. It'll say something like, "Are you sure this isn't a duplicate?" and then you can click, nope, this is not a duplicate and enter the info there. I believe Panera's website allows you to customize the sandwiches and gives you the calorie info based on what you've chosen. Save it and it'll now be available under your My Foods section to use going forward.

I assume it's the same or similar process on the app.

You can just do a brand new entry.

Or, just add/subtract the ingredients as separate line items.

For example, I will get a Burger at a restaurant. The NI on the website/in MFP includes the bun. So, I'll select that entry, and then do a separate entry for the bun and use "-1.0" serving which will deduct the NI for the bun w/o changing the original diary entry.

Great tip, @WholeFoods4Lyfe. Thanks for sharing that.
