Hi, just rejoined today. Have been on every diet. Recently WW. I am a 72 y/o female.I weigh 153.8 lbs
Want to lose 1 lb per week. Maybe more
I have health issues, on many meds. Heart and Fibromyalgia issues
I am carb sensitive
Atkins and Keto helped, but I couldn’t stay on it
Help, please. When I logged in, it asked me to update my weight, etc
I updated to 153.8 , it kept saying it was invalid, so it automatically gave me 1200 calories
Put in my breakfast and lunch so far
Thanks,
Zippy

When you enter your weight, check that you put the point before 8, if not it will say that. Make sure it's entered correctly, it should work.1

With other health complications, and at 72 and only 153.8 pounds (if at a normal woman's height, this is not massively overweight), my advice would be not to try to lose more than a pound a week. If you find yourself losing much faster after the first couple of weeks, eat a little more.
This is the approach I used to lose about 50 pounds at age 59-60 (while hypothyroid, BTW), and to stay at a healthy weight since (I'm now 63, mid-130s pounds at 5'5"):

It relies on gradually remodeling one's eating in a positive direction. Maybe that would be manageable for you?

Hi my name is Shari and I understand how weight can affect your health. That's my current battle. I'm finding sucesss in portion control, eating baked and grilled foods rather than fried, drinking lots of water and last but not least, I treat myself by giving myself 2 cheat meals a week. I don't go overboard, but because I have so much weight to lose, I have to make sure I don't let my cravings get to bad. Good luck, you can do it!1
