Hi everyone. I'm back again and looking to make friends on this journey of making a new and healthier me. I have been here before, but unfortunately over time, i have gained all that was lost plus a bit. I'm very fortunate to have my girlfriend with me on this journey this time around. She's very committed to this journey with me. Not only losing weight, but making lifestyle changes that will last. A little about me. I'm 31 years old, 5'11" and currently at 254 lbs. Ultimately I would like to be below 200.
Currently just taking baby steps. We started making the gym a daily habit together last week. This week we will be ironing down a workout plan continuing breaking bad eating habits. Hopefully next week we will be ready to commit to a more structured eating plan. We're leaning more towards keto. I work alot, typically 60-70 hrs a week with only Sundays off. So if anyone has advice or experience with keto and weekly meal prep to keep it as painless as possible, it would be greatly appreciated.
As for our workouts, we're currently going to Planet Fitness. 30 minutes of cardio and the 30 minte express circuit on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The remaining days of the week we're getting in a solid hour of cardio. Figured this was a good starting point for our bodies to get used to the added activity without it being complicated. Hopefully we will change it up after a few weeks with a more structured weight lifting plan on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week. Also I'm considering adding a morning run in my neighborhood before going to work. I used to enjoy running and am trying to work back up to it.
