10 pounds down.

I've lost 10 pounds and I'm happy but I don't feel like I see a difference. Is this normal??

Did you take your measurements when you started?

It also depends on how much you need to lose. Great job so far.

10 lbs is a great thing! It's hard for us to see the differences, but you will. Taking measurements is another great way to reinforce that you are doing everything right! Keep up the hard work.

Thank you! Goal weight is 115 I have about 40 pounds to go! Just had a baby! So I lost 30 pounds of water weight due to edema and complications during labor. It's been a crazy ride but loving it so much!!

Congratulations on the birth of your child!!!! 10 lbs is great!!!! That's 35,000 calories that you left behind. Don't be hard on yourself.......you've just gotten through a most important job, and now everything will change!!! Concentrate on taking in enough calories so you stay healthy. Skipping meals will only tempt you to eat something that's not healthy. If you are breastfeeding, then you know you must take in more calories than say, me, because you burn 1,200 calories with each feeding. You are smart to lose this baby weight now. Many of us claim baby weight, but our kids are now walking and talking (or adults, like mine! LOL)

While we might not be able to see it ourselves, 10 pounds is a big deal. I found this on a website and I always thought it was funny AND inspiring.

You've lost the equivalent of a bag of Russet potatoes. Next time you're at the store, grab a 10 pound bag of those potatoes and feel just how heavy that is. Imagine carrying around that bag of potatoes all the time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, absolutely everywhere you go.

I promise you'll feel better about yourself NOT having to carry that around anymore!

    1 pound = a loaf of bread
2 pounds = an IPad or the Imperial State Crown
3 pounds = a can of Crisco vegetable oil
4 pounds = a Reebok 4-Pound Ankle Wrap Weight set
5 pounds = the world's largest gummy bear (Five-pound gummy bear is equal to 1400 regular-sized bears!)
    6 pounds = a 4 slice toaster
    8 pounds = a human head
    10 pounds= a bag of Russet potatoes
15 pounds = a George Foreman Next Generation Grill
20 pounds = an automobile tire
25 pounds = a container of cat litter
30 pounds = the amount of cheese an average American eats in a year
35 pounds = the average car or pickup battery
    40 pounds = a 5-gallon bottle of water
    45 pounds = a bushel of oranges
50 pounds = Darius, the world’s biggest rabbit
55 pounds = eleven five pound bags of sugar
    60 pounds = a bull moose's antlers can weigh 60 pounds
    65 pounds= 260 sticks of butter
    70 pounds = a portable photo booth
75 pounds = an average sized chimpanzee
80 pounds = 40 two pound bags of carrots
    85 pounds= 17 watermelons
    90 pounds = 60 dozen eggs
95 pounds= an average sized recliner chair
    100 pounds = 18,000 quarters
105 pounds= the amount of red meat that the average American eats each year
    110 Pounds= 22 average sized coconuts
    115 pounds = 4 32’ flat screen TV’s
120 pounds = amount of trash you throw away in a month
    125 pounds= the world's largest cabbage
    130 pounds = a newborn giraffe
140 pounds = the amount of refined sugar an average American eats in a year
145 pounds = eight average Thanksgiving sized turkeys
150 pounds = the complete Oxford English Dictionary
    185 pounds= Actor Hugh Jackman
    200 pounds = a typical refrigerator
230 pounds = Giant George, a Great Dane (the World's Biggest Dog)
250 pounds = ten 25 pound bags of ice
300 pounds = an average football lineman
