Ok... so- lately, I have been having a hard time with my exercise because with working 2 jobs, I didn't feel like I could fit it in anywhere. To resolve the time issue, I've started running during my lunch break. Monday, I ran 3.6 miles. Tuesday, I ran 4.4. My question is: Is running too often going to make weight loss harder? I've heard that I need rest days. If this is true, how often do I need rest days? I really really want results.... the wedding is getting closer and I'm no where close to where I want to be!

Also- I've been doing yoga in the evenings with my girls. I'll do this anywhere from 15 min to an hour a night....

  • You do need rest days for running but running two or three consecutive days is not necessarily a problem. Some running experts say you need three days off a week, some just say one. The main concern with running and what all experts agree on is that you do not increase your weekly mileage abruptly or you will risk injury. A great way to keep yourself motivated is to sign up for a 5k or 10k.
You can find many training programs and great info on web sites such as runnersworld.com. Good luck!
