Lean muscle protein Calculator

Does anyone know how to calculate how much protein one needs or have a accurate calculator they have used online. I am 165 lbs male 5’9, 21 yrs excersise using weights once hiit once and 15 minute run daily and am a mechanic and once I punched all of this into bodybuilding.com’s calculator said I need 206 -232 seems like a lot to want gain lean muscle not bulk any help would be great thx

This page has protein recommendations based on scientific evidence. See which category you fit into and calculate your allowance. Yes, 200+ grams does sound like a lot and probably unnecessary.

I’m no expert but everything I’ve read says .8-1.5 g/lb. Thats what I try to stick to and it seems to be working. I’m usually right at 1g/lb or a little below.2

Depending on your age and medical history, anything in the 165-185g range is a reasonable goal.0
