Hello!
As stated, I'm not new but I'm restarting. I have approximately 50lbs to lose, recovering from a recent cardiac event at Easter and have significant mental health barriers to contend with so I would love a support system of people who are in a similar boat.
I'm Shonna.

Hey, I'm starting over too :^) caught a glimpse of myself in the dressing room today and realized... I really really want to do this for myself. I feel you with the mental health stuff, it can be reallyyy hard to stay on track when you have that battle to get through first! Rooting for you Shonna :^D4

Hi there. You can add me. I suffer from depression. I also am trying to lose the 20 pounds I put back on.3

I fell off track last fall/winter. I’m going to start again too. My first go around I was quite successful losing 70 lbs. I’m struggling to get back in it and track those calories (and stay within limits). I would love some extra friends! I struggle with depression, mostly winter blues but it’s mid summer and this episode is hanging onto me. I would like lose 20 lbs.2

Hello ladies! I am also starting over. I have had more “day 1’s” then I can count. I gained a little over 30lbs, and my goal is to get down to a healthy weight for my height and age. My goal weight is 145, and I am 5’6. Happy weight loss to you all and good luck on your journeys!2

I’m behind you n support the whole way I’m looking for new friends so anybody feel free to add1

Hi all, I’ve been a member for a while now, just reading the forums, not posting until today. I’m ready to beat my sugar addiction once and for all. I would happily add any of you as friends but I don’t know how.1
-
Hi Shonna, am starting again (again, again, again) too. Crawling back from a severe few months with mental health as well1

Hi Shonna,
Thank you for starting this thread. I am also returning after being away a couple of years. I have a 100+ to lose but getting too old to keep carrying all this extra weight. Similar, that I know what I need to do but have emotional and mental barriers too. Hope we can all support each other to get healthy and feel better.1 -
Good morning, Shonna! I have depression and suffer from binge eating. I see my therapist every 2 weeks and I also see a dietician for the BE. It's a rough road. While I'm dealing with this, I'm also caring for my 19 year old that is Bipolar 1. I'm sending you a friend request. You are not in this alone!0

Hi KaeMarie,
I think I’ve just worked out how to add friends so I’ve added you
I’m not very good with forums. Is there any way I can find all comments I have made, so I can find threads I have posted on?
Sorry for being a numpty.

Hello you can add me. I’m starting again too and I’ve struggled with depression a good chunk of my life. I have a therapist I see and she helps some. I have some physical problems too with my lungs and therefore I’m unable to work. Decided to add meditation into the mix and see if that helps. Feel free to add me. I’m Mandy.0

I'm starting over too. I did great several years ago but I've gained all of it back! Slippery slope! I also got married and that means lifestyle changes making it harder to do meal planning when I now have to take into account another person. I could use all the encouragement I can get to stay on track!0

Hello all! I am too starting over again. I had great success before with MyFitnessPal, and counting calories. I also decreased my meat intake. Since then (about 5 years ago) I am heavier than ever before with a goal of a 66 pound weight loss. I'm looking for some motivation and comradery as the journey to weight loss is never easy.2

Feel free to add me, I just started again too.2

I am also Bipolar I. Your child is lucky to have you! I didnt get diagnosed until I'd walked away from my marriage, was on my own and raising my own child. It's definitely been a learning experience.❤0 -

Anyone here feel free to add me 🙃🙂 looking for some MFP friends. ✌🏽1

Hi Shonna (and everyone else), I’m starting over and welcome new friends! My meds are stable so I don’t have mental health problems to deal with so much but they don’t kick in until mid-day so my brain is just not even turned on when I need it to be to exercise. I do understand the mental health aspect though, as I have had a couple of breakdowns despite the stable meds and could barely pull my butt out of bed for a month each time. I can’t even imagine how I would have gotten myself on a treadmill. I also work in a children’s psychiatric hospital, so mental health is my job. Hang in there and feel free to add me as a friend!1

Feel free to add me! 😊 For some reason, I can’t add people. I was able to a few weeks ago but now I can’t.1

Hi shonna I to had cardiac issues, I had a heart attack 2 years ago and I had a heart op in June last year so I haven't trained for 2 years I'm only just getting back into it. Plus I suffer from depression and anxiety. But you can do it, hard at first I had to drag myself to the gym but I am starting to feel better in myself plus gym is really good for your mental health. Meet friends thete but find yourself a good gym that you feel comfortable in.1

I live rurally, it would take me 45 minutes each way to go to a gym lol but I do get regular exercise with my job itself, swimming, hiking, walking, splitting and stacking firewood, yard work, canoeing etc.
I was going to the gym when I worked fulltime in town but my mental health cant handle the fulltime work and the gym memberships arent worth it if I only go the 2 times per week when I do work. I also work 12-16 hour days plus commute those days so it's already a long day.0 -
Hi Shonna. Good for you trying to get healthier now. I'm 52 and over 300 lbs. I wish I had started earlier. I have battled depression since I was twelve.

Hey everyone. I’m glad to see this post because I’m starting again as well. I went to Walmart today to buy a pair of larger size jeans because my current ones are really tight but then I got mad at myself for gaining back some of the weight I had lost (30 out of100 lbs lost) and put them back on the shelf.
I’ve also struggled with depression all my life and have been on medication for many years. I’ve been feeling depressed for the last couple of weeks.
Sugar is a lot of my problem and I was off the sweet stuff (candy, cookies, ice cream etc) for about 2 years and then started eating it again at Christmas. That when I started gaining again.
So count me in and let’s support each other! Thanks!1 -
Welcome to the community!
I have a laundry list of ailments myself. Hoping I can shed a few on my journey.1 -
I added everyone on here. I love to give and receive encouragement! Anyone after me feel free to add me!!!0

Anyone here: add me please! Im in the same exact boat Shonna. My mental health was in a scary scary place last year. Since then Im slowly stabilizing with the help of my doctors and familys support. Im sick of yoyo'ing my entire life. Lose 70 lbs, gain 60 back, lose 30 lbs, gain 40 back, lose 20, gain it back... im done. I want to make a lifestyle swith and stick to it once and for all. I have lost 8 lbs in 10 days on moderate, low carb. I know from my past, I need a community for accountability and to stay engaged. Anyone here, please add me🙌🤗0
