Removing Food from the Food Database

Every time I enter food into my "Add Food" it automatically adds it to the food database. It has gotten to the point that when I try to locate and correct an item I can't. I have found that sometimes the item I click on is not correct so I have to relocate it again. How can I delete all these excess food items from my list.

Do you mean the Add Food button below your meals? If so, you should post this under the feedback/suggestions forum. 😉1

Can you clarify, @Djohnson1646 ? When you say it adds it to the "food database," do you mean it adds it to your recent foods? (Which is what your later reference to "my list" sounds like.) If so, that's not a bug, that's a feature. (And that's not a joke. For most people, being able to locate recently logged foods makers logging easier.)
Edited to correct stupid auto complete error. Who in sam hill uses "yippy" anymore, tarnation!4 -
It took a lot of time and research but I finally figured it out. Thanks to all who attempted to assist me. I guess this site is not all that user friendly on how it is set up.3
