A sudden series of NSV

I've been very slowly losing weight over the past three months and while the scale was giving me good news, I couldn't tell otherwise that I'd lost any weight. Clothes seemed to fit pretty much the same and I didn't see anything different in the mirror. My boyfriend kept saying he could tell I had lost weight, but I wasn't sure.
And then this week suddenly my boyfriend's mom hugged me, paused and suddenly kind of freaked out that I was smaller. A guy at work flirted with me, commenting on how I'd lost weight. One of the directors at work also made a comment that every time she saw me, I was shrinking. I also started having problems with my pants and having to constantly pull them up. And then the other day I was looking in the mirror and looked down at my shirt and realised that the shirt fit differently. This is the first time I've actually been able to see the change.
I was worried that losing one pound a week was going to be too slow and frustrating for me, but now I'm finding it's working out great. I'm not injuring myself this time trying to push myself to lose 2-3 pounds or driving myself crazy trying to follow special meal plans and getting frustrated. Honestly this has been the easiest way to lose weight for me.

That is exactly what you are supposed to do - slow and steady. Way to go! I noticed it too, when I had to wear a belt with my shorts because they kept falling off.0

congrats on your progress and starting to see the rewards of your hard work and dedication. it does pay off, over time. slow and steady is right.....that's the kind of change that sticks-the small, slow and steady ones.
congrats again!!0 -
Yeah - I don't like the idea of pushing to loose 2-3 pounds a week either. I am averaging 1 pound a week. It works out better because I am not restricting myself to much and then breaking down and ruining my hard work. When I start to go "hmm thats all?" then I pick up a bag or 2 of potatos at the grocery store (3-5pound bags) ... carry that around for a while and you will be surprised at the difference it makes.0
