Just got home from my first 5k - 30:40 Started walk/jogging just a few weeks ago along with using MFP. I have lost 12 lbs and until today, the longest I had walked/jogged in 20yrs was 1.72 mi which was just this past Tuesday. I was more impressed that I didn't need to slow down to walk until after the 2mi mark!

For anyone out there that thinks they can't do a 5k, or are afraid to. Let me tell you...get out there and just do it! I feel like I could take on the world right now!

congrats!! Watch out, running can be addicting, soon you'll be signed up for a race every weekend and your dresser will be full of race t-shirts to remind you of all your hard work!

Great job :D I'm out to test if I can do a full 5k jog with no breaks :) It is addicting to see how much more you can do!!!
  • That is awesome! Thanks for sharing. I am doing my first 5k in November and I am terrified. I am getting ready now by loosely following Couch 2 5K. Keep up the good work.

Yah you! I've done 2 and it is an AMAZING feeling! I really want to do more, and hoping that I can in the Fall. Congratulations! I know you will be on clud 9 all day!
