Questions for 30 Day Shred

I am restarting the 30 Day Shred today after doing it in July only for 7 days. I got really upset after seeing a gain last time and my clothes not fitting, but now I know it was water gain in my muscles. So this time, I am going to try and make it all the way. I do have some questions that I was hoping someone could answer:
1.) I've never exercised first thing in the morning, but I may need to this time because I work two 13 hour days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Are there any tips for doing the 30 Day Shred first thing in the morning? Is this workout good for the am?
2.) Food choices with 30 Day Shred- I have major food allergies- wheat, vanilla, perch, and egg yolks. I also don't think I can eat alot of yeast (I try to eat gluten free) and I sometimes can't eat fructose or gassy vegtables. If I do I have major stomach bloat (looking 9 mo pregnant) major gas, major pains. I try to take a digestive enzyme and Gas-X to help. According to the docs it is major IBS, but I beg to differ. Anyway...,. besides a ton of protein I have a hard time with food. What are some good foods to eat with 30 Day Shred. When I do 30 Day Shred I am usually really hungry! I know I need to probably eat more when doing strength training in order to make up for the calories, and I will be eating my exercise calories, but I don't want to overdue it!
Thanks for the help!

I am on day 16 of my 30DS, and I also work 12-14 hr shifts on Tuesdays and Thursdays (I am a nurse). I do my 30DS when I get home from work at 9:30pm. I am not an early morning person, and doing it at night actually helps me sleep. Also take measurement, I too have not seen much weight loss scale wise, but I have lost 7 inches so far...this helps me stick to it!0

I hope the 30 Day Shred goes well for you! I haven't done it myself, so I can't offer any advice about that. I wanted to comment to ask about your diet issues - I'm sorry to hear that food gives you such trouble. You say you're trying to eat gluten-free; does that help with your symptoms? My mother has similar problems (not quite as extreme, I'd think), and she's experimented with cutting certain things from her diet. I think her issue has been that she doesn't substitute healthy foods for the things she takes out, so she's deprived - and she feels it!
In any case, I've been researching about IBS and similar digestive conditions, and I just read about the GAPS diet. I don't know if it might help you, but I think I'm going to talk about it with my mother. The focus is on encouraging the gut to heal by removing trigger foods and replacing them with nourishing ones. The author also claims that people with certain psychological problems will get relief by following the protocol. Here's the website: http://www.gutandpsychologysyndrome.com/gaps-diet/
I think I'm going to ask my local library to buy the book so that I can check it out. Again, good luck, and I hope that things go well for you!0 -
Wow thank you so much for the website! I am so desperate for any help! I had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy and showed nothing but a couple of polyps and gastritis. I know there are some things that hurt my stomach and some things that are okay. The gluten free seems to be helping, but I am still having the same issues with other foods. Thanks again!0

I am getting ready to do "The Whole 30" with my best friend. I have Ulcerative Colitis and can't tolerate gluten.
I am toying around with the 30 day shred idea myself....0
