When I 1st started I weighed 205 pounds that was 4/28/2017 at 1200 Calories a day.I am now at 155.5 pounds & stuck can't seem to get past this.I've been taking SlimQuick regular strength & was losing 1-5 pounds a day.I found Maximum Strength & their shake mix.I have done this w/o exercise too.I'm 45 years old 5'3" & I just need to get to 140 pounds according to BMI or 125 pounds. So thats 15-25 pounds DANG it.I buy Sugar Free,Fat Free & Reduced Fat stuff at least try to when I can find it.I can make a grilled cheese for 100 calories.I use butter Spray,30 Calorie Kraft Fat free cheese & Aunt Millies 35 calorie bread.Just recently I've been eating a salad for lunch & dinner.I flavor it with Rice Vinegar, salt, pepper,& Garlic Powder or Goya seasoning. So that's around 93 calories or so unless I use Fat free dressing with some croutons, then it's closer to 150 calories.Just wondering how to boost up my metabolism maybe thats the problem not sure.Need recipes or anything just ask.

Welcome to the MFP Community. :)

Losing 1-5 pounds per day is pretty aggressive given your stats. The usual recommendation is not to lose more than 2 pounds per week, and that's for people who are obese. As you get closer to your goal rate, it's common for the rate of loss to slow down or even stall temporarily.

Maybe it's time for a bit of a reset to give your body a break from such extremes? Here's a thread that might help:

Also as you get closer to goal, it's a good idea to think about how you will approach maintenance. Maintenance is a weight range, one specific number. If you've been on the diet wagon for a long time and restricting yourself from eating certain foods, it's hard not to be tempted to start eating all those treats you've been denying yourself. ;)

Sometimes it pays to use other metrics to judge success rather than just weight! :) Try measuring yourself too and maybe get a body fat measurement too?

I sort of made the same mistake and got really obsessive about weight at one point and it just wasn't coming off...what was happening though due to the exercise I was building some lean muscle which weighs more than fat so although my weight wasn't shifting my body composition was changing for the better.

It all comes down to how healthy your feel inside - not just about weight!

Great work on your journey so far! I'm on a re-boot at the moment... :)

I know how frustrating this can be, Tlf, but SugarAddict and Ricomincia may be right. Your metabolism may have changed from restricting your diet too much. You may want to bump up your cals a bit, at least temporarily, and add some healthy fat into your diet. When I was in weight loss mode, I stalled when I was close to goal weight, too, and restricting my diet further didn't help. I added a serving of peanut butter for healthy fat each day and my hair stopped falling out, added bonus. It helped me get past that plateau. You ARE under a doctor's care for your weight loss journey, right?
