don't be in a rush... 2lbs a week is over 100lbs in a year. it's doable, expect to make mistakes and have setbacks, accept them and keep pushing. remember roughly 3500 calories equal 1lb, not sure where your calories are now but let's say you eat 2000 Cal's a day that's 14000 a week but you burn 3500 a day that's 24,500 Cal's burned a week you are at a 9500 Cal deficit .. that's about 2.5 lbs theoretically lost a week.
it doesn't need to be over complicated, these are hypothetical numbers, take this example and adjust it to where you are now. use a tdee calculator or look at your Fitbit or other health monitor and see on average how much you burn a day at your current activity level and adjust from there, then as you are more active adjust your calories, If you eat a high amount of calories now then there's no reason to go super low and be miserable, ease into it. anything less is a deficit, the more active you are the bigger the deficit.
too many people set their calories waaaaay too low and try to give everything from the jump. make small changes and keep in mind even 1lb a week is over 50lbs lost that you will probably keep off, fast weight loss usually doesn't last, just read through these posts and see how many people are posting about gaining all the weight back.
Push yourself a little everyday, even if you go walk for 10 more minutes, that's 10 mins more than you were doing and those are extra calories burned, don't feel pressure to do a lot, ease into it, trust me in time your body will crave the activity and it gets easier, then the hard part is figuring out how to push yourself more.5 -
