Weightloss Through Adventure

Hi Folks, I am back on my MFP journey to loose approx 10Kg. Instead of traditional method of hitting the gym, I am using MFP to control calories, and my love of the outdoors to burn them.
I am a keen Hill Walker / Mountaineer, and am working my way through the Scottish Munro's (Mountains over 3000 feet).
I also enjoy cycling, kayaking, and outdoor activities with my kids.
To help with motivation, I have decided to post up Pictures and videos of my outdoor expeditions on my status to share my adventures with MFP friends.
Looking for motivation buddies who would be interested in these, or who also enjoy the outdoors to share experiences and benefits they bring to your MFP journey. If you are interested then please add me as a friend.
Regards
Allan

Hi Allan
I'm a Scot who's signed up for some running races this Autumn- I want to lose another 20/22lbs so roughly the same as yourself. I've not given myself too much time to train but I've got a 10k, half and full marathon scheduled.
I admire mountaineers/hill walkers. I've got very bad vertigo so steep inclines turn my stomach.
I'd definitely like to follow you- I didn't know you could add photos to your status. I'll have to try that.
Likewise, if there's anyone who runs, no matter who slowly, I'd be very interested in becoming friends.

Hi Lorna, I used to have vertigo, but managed to sort it out through indoor climbing and other activities. Recently climbed the Aonoch Eagach Ridge, and the Culllins on Skye which have scary exposure and could never have done a few years back.

What a great idea! Talk about “find an activity you enjoy!” 👍
I made my weight loss program all about training for a climb to summit Mt St Helens, a volcano in Washington state. It was awesome, and yes, a year ago, we made it to the top!
Have fun! I love this plan!!2 -
I think I have decided to do an ultra marathon next year.
I have my eye on some in Scotland....
The whole process should help me increase my adventure and the weight loss along the way.0 -
Post pictures of your adventures, it would be fun to follow! I work out in the gym or at home, I do hiking when I have someone to go with.0
