So I read online that you should always use a lubricant when installing the screws/bolts for the SPD cleats... didn't have any WD40 so used cooking oil.... hope that's ok.

I"m only moderately mechanically inclined ...so I was just following suggestions on youtube0

Hubby thought it was ok. He uses WD40 for different things and didn't think cooking oil would hurt anything.0
