1 1/2 month of keto.

Not at goal yet, but have lost over 12 inches off stomach. And over 3 pants sizes down (squeezing into size 16/18 yoga pants to pulling up, buttoning, and zipping size 12 jeans). In total shock! I never thought I'd be able to lose the weight that came with a disease I caught which caused a lot of weight gain. But in one and half month, I feel like I'm already closer to being able to recognize myself.

Calories between 1300-1650 daily, never hungry, lots of new found energy, light cardio, light strength training....(30-50 minutes 3-4 days a week).
I love keto. Was maintaining healthy weight for years until illness hit. Discovered during Passover (Spring Holiday--Week of Unleavened Bread) I am extremely carb sensitive. Cut my carb intake and am surprised how quickly my body is changing. I only count net carbs, so still eat plenty of veggies and fruits. Just cut out breads, potatoes, and rice and started using more olive oil in my cooking to make up the calories.

Thanks!!! I thought people were crazy when they would talk about being carb sensitive or even mention keto.
For years, I would roll my eyes and huff and think ...."OMG, it's ANOTHER fad diet, when will society learn?"
But here I am, live and learn, I guess. Since my holiday last spring, if I eat bread or potatoes...I am in pain and bloat up huge! Started in the second week of June after researching for a couple of months! Definitely a way of life for me!2 -
I was just throwing together a collage to post on the Face thread, but I feel more comfortable posting here instead.
I feel my face has definitely changed, not as drastically as
my body. But complexion and dark eye circles seem clearer to me.
I never intended to lose this quickly... My mindset was, it took two years to gain, it will probably take two years to lose. Be ready for patience, slow, and steady. But I'm not going to complain about my body's rate of losing this time around... It seems insane to me, and I am having a hard time wrapping my head around it!!!3 -
Definitely an inspiration to many! Keto looks good on you, and I can't wait to see how far you will go! Keep up the great work!1

Would you plz share some details about your meals. I’m trying to do Keto for some time but it feels like a jigsaw puzzle to me. I keep messing up. Have few questions may be you can answer them.
If I stay under my carb allowance and cannot eat the given amount of fat and protein and feel satisfied/ not hungry........is it still Keto /will I see the weight loss I’m looking for.
How you pair up a meal from Keto approved foods any example.
I’m SAHM so I cook 7days a week at home /our food is mostly carb in the form of rice or flat bread/kind of tortilla but thicker and made of wheat flour so Keto is exceptionaly hard for me I keep missing the carbs /bad ones.
I’m 37 yo 186 5”1 look to lose 50lb at least.
Do you think you lost the weight because you kept your carb low alone or you made sure to take care of all three macros.

breakfast:
Coffee with:
Half and half (or heavy cream, almond milk or cashew milk; whatever is on sale cheapest).
Unsweetened cocoa powder
Stevia
Lunch:
One egg with vegetables: one or more (broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, peppers, onions, spinach, olives, avocados, tomatoes, cilantro), cheese, and/or left over dinner meat. Cooked in olive oil, omelet-like, scrambled, or baked in oven.
Dinner: Baked or seared meat in olive oil, maybe some peppers or olives, or cheese.
Snacks:
fat bombs (unsweetened cocoa powder, stevia, coconut oil, coconut flakes, unsweetened peanut butter, cream all heated then frozen in ice trays).
A piece of fruit or two: a few cherries or a few cherry tomatoes.
Turkey and cream cheese rolls.
That's kind of my day. Sometimes I eat salad for lunch with greens, boiled egg, meat, cilantro, avocados, tomatoes, onions, olives, cheese.
Keto friendly breads: almond flour or coconut flour (too expensive for me) I use egg and cheese as bread replacement--baked or fried.
I do watch my macros and really try to get at minimum 1300 calories a day (add an extra tablespoon of olive oil or butter on meat), extra fat bombs, nuts are high calorie and not filling snacks (I can't eat nuts, but my family does).
Fats: 70-75%
Proteins: 20-25%
Carbs: 5-10%
Eat proteins and veggies, fill rest of calories in with olive oil, avocado oil, cheeses, creams or butter.
I'm 45 yrs old and 5'8" I don't know how much I weigh, I don't own a scale... Was a stay at home mom for years, just recently got a job because my daughter's in her 20s and finally doesn't need me home anymore!

Mid East seasoned baked chicken thigh with peppers and cheese (cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, and tumeric).
Beef and cheese keto pizza (egg and cheese crust)
Omelet with veggies, stuffed with peppers, onions, cilantro, and left over (cumin) beef from taco salads from night before.

To be honest, goal is just to feel good. For over two years I had 24/7 bloat and pain... Until holiday with no breads and no grains. The weight loss, hormonal changes, and energy are just bonuses.
Before catching disease was 5'8" size 10, around 160-165 lbs. But I'm usually content and feel & look healthy anywhere between 155-175. I'm hoping to be able to fit back into my clothes!
Probably weigh between 185-195 currently, started at around 225-230.2 -

Yeah the health benefits are the best!! I wasn't going to go into too much detail on the public forums, but the cysts in my breast are gone, my cervix pains are gone, my ovarian cysts pains are gone. Of course, my bloat and IBS are gone. I mean, the health benefits I'm having are incredible. Things that have caused me so much pain for years now, have literally vanished almost overnight.
I am the opposite on the scale, I get obsessed if I have scale, and stay discouraged with fluctuating numbers. I threw mine in the garbage years ago,6 -

Yeah, I rely more on my Progress Pics and post them about every other week, and a Comparison Pic once a month. Scales are unreliable and well, frankly... they lie! 😄
