Cheat meal without going over any cal/carb/pro/fat

I've done this a couple times with good results.
But I'm curious if anyone else does it similarly? And if it is recommended?
I will eat something very small and light in the morning. Prior to my cheat meal, I do my most strenuous exercise for the week that afternoon (an extra 300-400 calories burned than most days... 800-900 calories burnt for the day), leaving me with about 2,500 calories remaining for my cheat meal. Early evening I then have my cheat meal that can get to about 2,000 calories, I do not go over any limit and finish the day with 500ish calories remaining.
Does anyone else do this? How is your results?
Also, I like to keep my cheat meal on a schedule, like most. When you are burning at a good rate for days up to your cheat meal, do you ever skip it or still do it anyways?

2000 calories in one meal is a lot, don't you feel sick eating that much at once?0

This is taking away all the benifits of a cheat (I like to call Refeed) meals........the whole idea of it is to go OVER your daily intake by around double!0

I do a free day, today is my free day. The purpose of a free day is to let go of calorie counting and just to sit back and relax. A free day once a week has a positive leptin response, which helps you lose weight.0 -
I don't consider my big meals as cheat meals. I still eat whatever I want to eat but when I know It will be high in calories I get a really good calorie burn. I usually burn 1200 calories a day for about 3 days in a row.
I guess it comes down to what works for you. If you are having luck with it, keep doing it. Good luck.0 -
I don't do anything as structured as that, but every 10 days or so I make sure to have a meal where I eat whatever I want. I don't track the calories, I don't care how many calories it is, and then I go right back to my program.0

I don't go over on calories for my cheats, but I will allow myself more saturated fat, sodium, and bread when I want to cheat. I'll eat subway on flatbread, or have pizza. Or have hamburgers or brats on real buns. Since I don't do so well with grains that is my cheat. And if I do it more than a day or so it reminds me why I have cut them out or at least back. I sill dont trends to go over my basic macros, but it does keep me going.0
