So I'm in dire need of some cupcake inspiration. Please tell me about your most favorite cupcake. I don't want any "diet" cupcakes, I'm talking full-flavor delicious cupcakes. It's my birthday soon and I want to make the best cupcakes.

Thanks!

I just made red velvet cupcakes, added chocolate chips, and topped them with cream cheese icing. Delicious!

(leave out the food coloring though. So not necessary).

Red velvet cupcakes filled with a cream cheese icing center. Yummmmm. Or peanut butter and jelly cupcakes (with a PB&J center).

I make this as cupcakes (with her frosting recipe included in the bottom of this recipe.)
No Lie, this is the BEST cake recipe EVER!
If it can impress my critical controlling particular snobby boss (and her daughter) then it has to be good.
My friends drool when I bake these.

bake time for 36ish cupcakes is the same (30 minutes) as for the cake.

    You've got to try it!

Perhaps this is a major cupcake sin, but I don't think I've ever had a red velvet cupcake or cake in my life. What does it taste like?

Coconut with buttercream frosting and roasted coconut sprinkled on top.

I don't bake these, but we have a cupcake bakery here in town that makes these awesome Maple bacon cupcakes with a maple frosting that are to die for. I know, I know the bacon sounds gross. I was skeptical myself before I tried one, but OMG my mouth is watering just thinking about it! LoL

    Heaven!

Other than red velvet, Id say chocolate cake with a PB frosting.

Okay... Lots of people who want diet cake use a storebought cake mix and a can of diet soda. I recommend a chocolate cake with diet dr pepper and use light cool whip for the frosting.

This is really good actually. Just did this with white cake mix, lemon zest, diet sprite. for the cupcakes. For the frosting.... free coolwhip, a package of ff/sugar free vanilla pudding and a can of crushed pineapple drained. Pipped it into the center of the cupcakes. Yum!

I really love a moist Devil's Food cake with white frosting. Kind of simple, but oh so tasty! I make mine from the Gluten Free Mix from Betty Crocker and add almond flavoring to the cake!
