Spearmint tea

I have IBS and have been recommended spearmint tea to help bloating

Has anyone had any experiences with it?

If you really want to control it, you have to try a wide range of eliminations. Things to start with include coffee, tea with caffeine, chocolate, and alcohol. I'm guessing that the suggestion of mint tea is as a substitution to caffeine drinks.

    Best of luck!

If you are in Massachusetts, south of Boston, I can hook you up with all the spearmint you could possibly use.

There's nothing I could find on spearmint specifically, but peppermint oil has been shown to reduce abdominal pain from IBS (https://examine.com/supplements/peppermint/). It sounds plausible that spearmint tea could do something.

I agree with peppermint tea for bloating too. haven't tried spearmint, but give it a go - might work!

There's been a few teas we've used in my house for IBS.

Peppermint, Spearmint, Dandelion root, and my favorite: Ginger tea. Also like Ginger Soother, a juice made for stomach and bowel issues.
