"cup of" = ????

So... being from the UK, I need some clarification as to the measurement "a cup of" ??

A cup of strawberries, raw = 49 cals

What's a cup ?? How big is "this cup" ? a teacup or a mug ?? How many strawberries would you guess made "a cup" ?? Just to give me an idea...(i know it depends on the size of strawberry etc etc)...

    It's about the size of a mug. According to google: 1 US cup = 236.588237 mL

    if you look a bit further down most lists (I've used so far) as in strawberries, there will be another strawberry you can pick in grams rather than cups.
    Hope that makes sense.

    I know that 100g of strawberries is a cup :-)

    Other than that, you really do have to use, like, a mug to do measurements in cups. That's why I try to stay in grams.
    That way you can just divide the packet or whatever by how many grams it is, to how many you use :-)

    Click the drop down and choose a measurment you are more familiar with - that's what I do...so I usually choose either grams or 'each'.

    aka 40gs strawberries, 10 grapes etc

    I just use a small mug (.3Liters) and I don't fill it to the top. That's about a cup.

    Sorry to be so blunt but if you google it, most of the time google will convert it for you.

    i.e. 1 cup to grams

    They sell measuring cups in asda for a couple of quid. That's where i got mine from :)

    Sorry, it is the U.S.'s fault :) LOL

    We use cups over here to measure things, so we have measuring cups. We don't use literal generic mugs or cups, but actual uniform measuring devices. I'm sure you can find some to purchase online if you are interested. If not, I'm sure there is an online converter that you could use to convert to measurements you are familiar with! :D

    I believe one cup=8 oz. Don't know if that helps though.

    If you haven't got a jug that measures in cups use a jug and measure to 250mls. however, you should be abl;e to get one from asda or tesco, that's were i got mine from. hope that helps.
