im trying to figure out if im exercising too much which sounds kind of odd. i have a lot of weight to lose and first week i lost 6 pounds which is mostly water im sure. my weigh ins are wednesdays and thursdays are the start of my week. beginning to mid of my 2nd week i went out of town and weighed in last wednesday and gained a pound. i then weighed today and no change. i have my settings to 1 1/2 pound loss, it was 2. i workout everyday, in the last 18 days i took 1 day off. i either do 50-60 minute mod pace walk or 50-60 min high impact or general aerobics. today i was light headed and flustered on top of not much sleep and only got 25 minutes in. anywho am i gaining major muscle from cardio workouts? lol i know i shouldnt expect to see too much of a difference but atleast a pound loss every 3-4 days. i drink beer, and do not go over my calories, although im taking a break from it leading to weigh in to see if thats the issue. my net calories have been somewhat below 1200 the past few days but i allow this for mfp error when logging. its too early to hit a pleteau and i have so much to lose

I just had a super quick look at your food diary and you are going way below your recommended calorie intake, this is probably the reason why you are feeling light headed and flustered.
You should be trying to eat as much as is recommended. Our bodies need fuel to keep working and you are running on an empty tank.0 -
Don't worry about it. You have not hit a plateau and are probably not gaining muscle weight yet. There could be any number of reasons, TOM, water weight, it could even be catch up from the first week. 6 lbs is a lot in one week, maybe it was excess water and you replaced it and have leveled off. You need to keep doing what you are doing and see where it takes you and average the weight loss out. You are still 5lbs ahead of the game and 2 weeks into it. That is 2.5lbs a week which is higher than your settings.
Best wishes and stick to it.0 -
Agree with stolly...also, IMHO, you should maybe cut out the beer for a couple of weeks. I LOVE beer, but I've found that if I let myself have a few only one night a week I lose much faster than if I have 1-2 every night with dinner. Even if everything else (workout and food choices) is pretty much the same.0

There is such a thing as Overtraning so it's not silly to ask if you're doing too much exercise. Having said that, an hour a day shouldn't be a problem, particularly as you are varying between moderate and high intensity.0

You are so right about eating up all your calories.. if you don't eat then you can't burn it up.. its sounds funny but it is so true. LInda0
