So I have heard a LOT about this diet...and have considered trying it...though it seems like it would be quite difficult for me to adjust to, especially since I am big on dairy, (I love milk and cheese)...So I was wondering if there was anyone on here that is currently on the diet and can give me tips on what works and what struggles they have had with it....
Thanks so much!

I am not on that diet, but a friend of mine said what I try to eat on a regular basis sounds similar to that. I eat a lot of ground turkey and zucchini and asparagus and fruits like peaches, bananas, oranges and nectarines. I do occasionally have cheese and I can't seem to eat a banana without a cup of milk, but I think I might just try mashing it up and mixing in some Almond butter or just taking a bite of almond butter along with the bite of banana because that combo is really good. Or just take a couple raw almonds and eat it with the banana. The reason I might cut out the milk as much as possible is because even with eating all the fruits and veggies I've been eating, I have found my "system" wasn't working too well. I found out Milk can constipate you. So I need to back off from the milk. But I think once in a while it should be fine. I have lost 13lbs on the stuff I eat and so far it seems to be helping. If you have any questions on how I prepare things or recipes I have for the food I eat I'd be happy to share it with you. The plus to my "lifestyle change/diet" is you can occasionally have dairy Good luck on your fitness journey!0

I am currently on it, but I modified mine to include full-fat dairy (I work as a dairy scientist, so leaving it out completely was not an option). I love that I can have as much meat and vegetables as I want. My biggest struggle is really the cost of it (all that fresh food gets expensive). Giving up bread and pasta was not hard for me, but giving up white rice is harder and I still have it from time to time. I would say start gradually by giving up processed foods, and then start cutting out grains and then dairy if you choose to do so. I would also recommend picking up the book Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson and checking out his website, marksdailyapple.com. There is also a book called Paleo Diet Solution by Robb Wolf, but I thought that book was much more overwhelming than Primal Blueprint, which is a more gradual approach.
Good luck!0 -

I'm eating this way ... you can read my profile for more info and links, reading material and experience. I've found it easy to eat this way, essentially focusing on real whole foods and nothing processed. The health benefits have been enormous for me, and if you're looking for more than just a weight loss solution, consider trying this. There are variations: primal diet, evolutionary diet, Rosedale diet, etc.0
