Fine first week

Finished my first week. Started at 195 and weighed in at 192.4. Was hoping for a bit more loss, but I’ll take it. I had a short term goal of losing 10 pounds in first 3 weeks but I have adjusted that to 7. So 4.4 pounds to lose in the next 2 weeks!!! This is not easy, but I’m keeping at it. Actually there are moments where I do feel it’s easy and other moments when I find it really hard.

Good going.
This is completely unsolicited advice so do with it what you will. You don’t say what your process is, but this will apply to any process.
Long time weight loss folks will tell you that the scale frequently seems to have a mind of its own. Of course the scale has no mind at all. But sometimes it’s movements don’t seem related to anything. Goals tied to the scale joined with the calendar have broken a lot of hearts.
If you try to make your goals about your process, you can control the outcomes. Do the process and the scale will follow. If it doesn’t, adjust and improve your plan. Keep doing that until you have the outcome you want. Good luck.9 -

Congratulations on your first week! We are both in the same weight range so I understand the struggle. It’ll happen for us. It’s all about consistency even when the scale goes up.0

I always set the next 5 pounds as mini goals. I don't set a time frame for it. I just do my best and see what the scale says.
If you set unrealistic goals, it would be very easy to get discouraged. Give yourself the opportunity to make this a lifestyle change and commit to doing this as long as it takes, as far as the weight loss part is concerned.
